I have ran these gear diffs front and rear in both stock 17.5 and mod (3.5), and they have held up great. I've also used oils ranging from 30wt shock oil up to 500k diff oil AND cleaning putty. When built per instructions, they hold up perfectly. I highly recommend running a gear diff at least in the rear of any vehicle.
The stock plastic axle blades bind slightly in the outdrives. I lightly sanded my blades with 180-grit sandpaper until they fit. After doing this there are no issues. |
