| The Diablo Sandwich Run was a “little
big race” hosted by some of the racers from High
Speed Hobbies in North Carolina. The coolest part about
this event is how it actually came to be. The Race was
organized by Mike Morse, Pedro Campuzano and James Pickard.
They handled securing the venue for the massive track,
the design of the track and the race timing. For the
track, they got together with all the RCP track owners
in the area and managed to collect tons of RCP in order
to create a massive 50x35 foot track.
Even though the event was a fun run, with no big prizes
on the line, it was a blast. It really represented the
true spirit of 1/28th scale racing, as everyone came
together and contributed a little bit with what they
had. Below are the results and pictures from the race.
